Our Story

The Chebucto Inn and Lady Hammond Grill deliver a retro motel experience with a warm family touch. The 50’s inspired bright ‘Motel’ sign has been a beacon for local and international travellers for over 50 years. Recently renovated, our 31 spacious rooms include comfortable beds, updated bedding and mini-fridges, air conditioning and free wi-fi. Guests can enjoy free parking and a delicious diner-style meal at our on-site restaurant at the Lady Hammond Grill. 

 A family-run business, we pride ourselves on creating a warm and welcoming experience for our guests. Our staff are experts in what to see and do in the city and recommend what attractions to visit from Citadel Hill, Pier 21, the Waterfront to Point Pleasant Park. Helping you plan your visit and discover all that Nova Scotia offers from the downtown core to Peggy’s Cove and surrounding areas, is our pleasure. 

The Chebucto Inn is conveniently located approximately twenty minutes from the Stanfield Halifax International Airport and ten minutes from downtown Halifax, Burnside Industrial Park, Bayer’s Lake and Bedford. We are a two minute drive from Ceres, the Fairview Cove Container Terminal and four minutes from Irving Ship Building for international travellers. We are less than a 2-hour drive to many of Nova Scotia’s well-known attractions such as Peggy’s Cove, the Annapolis Valley and the South Shore.
