Smoking:

Smoking is permitted only within designated Smoking Rooms within the Motel. Smoking in a non-smoking roll will result in a minimum $75.00 cleaning fee being added to your bill. In addition to designated smoking room, there are balconies and other common “outdoor areas” where smoking is permitted.

Pets:

We only allow small trained pets and we do not allow kennels in our rooms. Pest must be kept on a leash while outside the hotel. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. You agree to be responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from your pet. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the hotel; its owners and operators, from all liability and damage suffered as a result of your pet.

Taxes:

In Nova Scotia, there is a 13% (HST) tax on overnight lodging. Guests from foreign countries can apply to receive this amount back at the time they leave Canada. In addition, there is a 2% municipal room tax charged on all daily room rentals.

Cancellations – Changes

If it becomes necessary to cancel your reservation, notice must be given by 4pm the day before in order to not incur charges on your credit card, on a guaranteed reservation.

Check-in and out times:

* Check in Time is after 3pm
* Check out time is 11am

If you require earlier check in or out times, we will do what we can to accommodate you – please ask at time of booking – but we can only confirm at the time you arrive at the property! We’ll do our best to accommodate such requests, but depending on workloads if may be impossible.

NO-SHOW

is not the same as a cancellation:

If a guest does not arrive for a scheduled guaranteed reservation and does not call to cancel, that guest will be charged for 1 night’s reservation. It is only good manners for a guest to notify us in advance if they do not intend to use their reserved room.
